Odd wiper switch issue - 95 lt1
Not sure where to start tracking this down , I suspect it might be a intermittent wire contact thing in the steering column , don't want to pull the steering wheel to get to any plugs or contacts.. any suggestions? I have sprayed the washer switch at the stalk with gobs of switch contact cleaner , no joy.
Its not at all related to engine temp , wipers wont work even if the engine is hot , so I dont think its the motor circuit board. If I fiddle at the back of the stalk nearest the dash , I can feel 2 wires running inside it - not sure if they should be there or they are wiper related.
Cruise control works perfectly , but no washer or wiper.
I have a FSM , but I think I got one wrong one , wiper section seems to be very sparse. my FSM is for a 94 and a 95 , 2 books. Its got white and not red covers - very expensive to import here.
Any suggestion? I would be happy to just wire in some manual type external toggle switch that at least allowed the wipers to just work , I dont need delay etc , just fast and slow.
