Dash display died !!
For about 30 seconds earlier today. Got off the highway after 20 mins driving, was on city streets when all of a sudden the dash display in my 93 just shut off. RPM needle dropped to zero, speedo LCD went blank and all gauges went to zero. I thought "dang", b/c I was on my way to an appointment. Then it all lit up again. Hurray. But I wonder what kinda short could have caused that....

Shorts blow fuses and that circuit will not function until you install a new fuse so you don't have a short, you have intermittent power to your dash which includes the positive 12v to one or more pins on the dash connector or an intermittent ground connection from the ground wire on the dash.
