Default Gremlins? Help..

Well some might remember I posted this issue a few weeks back.. But will describe the problem as best I can..

Car runs fine..but on cold days it act up... I turn the key it lites and shuts off within 2 seconds.. On the second try she lites right up and idles without issue... Sometimes she sets a code(low resolution pulse, high resolution pulse and est error)... I was thinking opti... But she runs fine on warm days and lites right up when she warm... Checked all the connections.

History of car..... 92 w/32k.. (engine was replaced 2002)car hasn't been registered since 2004....I brought it last month..

Thoughts opinions??

Get thee an FSM (factory service manual) it has a procedure for your problem.

If you do a search you may even find it here - I think I saw parts of it in a recent thread.

My 92 would only have problems when hot. Would blow ICM's, replaced coil once. Ran great once I changed the connection from the opti to the ECM (connector is on passenger intake). Also had a intermittent ESC code that did not go away until I replaced the knock sensors.

Good Luck

Isn't a Gremlin an American Motors product? Does your Gremlin have an LT1?

The fsm has a diagnosis procedure for that error code and that is why they are worth more than their initial cost! :thumbs
I don't have a 92, or a 92 service manual.
