Why Not the LT1?
Hey everyone. I read something awhile back about the LT4's. It said that a lot of LT4's actually had more horsepower than was advertised. What makes the LT4's have different horsepower? Also, is there variables in horsepower with the LT1's and why not. Thanks, Ed.

The LT1 does not seem to have the differences like the LT4 does in HP.
All LT1's (in Corvettes) are rated at 300HP 92-93 was Speed Density/Batch Fire Injection 94-96 was MAF/Sequential Fuel Injection. 92's only make 330 torque and the rest 340 due to a different camshaft design on the exhuast side.
Most LT1's will make about 260RWHP. If in good condition. Some will be more/some less. There is some variation on any mass produced engine.
