I just re-did my 88 soup-to-nuts, and that hard starting when it's hot could be the timing to advanced (it should be at 6 degrees) or leaking injectors. Get a shrader valve pressure gauge and check for bleed-down. The high idle may be the tps, it should be at .54 volts, but you should ohm check it to see if it's good at all. I've been driven crazy getting my car dialed-in and changed everything to get it right. My car was neglected and not kept-up-with at all, so take your time and do your research before going broke changing things you don't have to
