Default Weatherstrip question

For those who have replaced their weatherstrip I have a question. Everything seems to seal up except for the sides of the windshield. I'm getting leakage from around the window glass. When I look at the how the weatherstrip and window meet up, there is a little gap caused by what looks like the window not going up all the way, but the windows are up. Is there any adjustment to the window so it fits tighter against the strip?

I have a 89 C4. If the door panels are removed, there are 2 10mm bolts that secure the window stops. If the 2 bolts are loosened, you may be able to raise the window more and then tighten the 2 bolts. I have done this to make the window not go up as far as it used to because the doors would not close because windows went up too far. Also the window anti-rattle pads may be adjusted to effect how the windows seat in the weatherstripping. Another adjustment might be the two 10 mm bolts that secure the upper part of the window regulator to the upper door frame.

I'll post a pic on Thrusday to better show what I'm trying to explain.

IT might also be the vertical weatherstripping at the front of the door. we had ALL the weatherstripping replaced on our '94 and it took the shop a number of return trips to get all the weatherstripping properly shimmed so that they all sealed properly.

That particular leak was difficult to track down (we thought it was windshield/evaporator housing related at first), but evetually we got it by shimming that piece of weatherstripping.

BTW, we also had to re-adjust the windows so that they sealed along the top too.

Here is a pic of the old weatherstrip, but the red line is where the problem is. I'll still get a pic of how the window meets up now, but in short it looks like the window doesn't go all the way up into the over hanging "crease."

Here is a picture of the gap between the window and the weatherstrip. The drivers side isn't as bad, but still leaks. Who here knows how to adjust the windows?
