Balance crossfire or set timing- which first?
I' ve balanced the tbs and set idle speed to 450.
But then I realized I have no clue where the timing is at. Do you normally set idle first and then adjust timing, or set timing first and then set up crossfire tbs?

Timing will effect idle speed and vacuum so first.

Know that the factory timing spec on the L83 is incredibly conservative. If you're feeling..."Adventurous", set the timing a good bit more advanced than stock. May people like to recommend a certain spec (people seem to like 6* for some reason), but I recommend "feeding it what it wants". My particular combo "wanted" 12*. There is 10-20 hp just in timing on those things. Factory setting was ridiculous.
