Cruise-In III Veteran

Torque Conerter help

Lilred is going to be replacing her TC this weekend, and then we plan on taking her car out to Bowling Green next week, is this a poor decision? Is there a break in period for TC's? April plans on auto-xing, and drag racing while out there, any help would be greatly appreciated

No breakin for a TC. It "could" be a bad decision. If for some reason it doesn't want to go into lockup, that would be a very long drive to BG. You don't want to be like me and have to not be able to go because of 'something' not working when it goes back together. :(

What stall did she pick? Did she put it on the dyno to get an idea of what RPM would be most beneficial?

i believe she went with a 2800, her dyno was pretty good, torque was flat all the way across

I agree with Scorp.

You can easily test for lockup but that's a long haul with a new component just installed.

well we have my car as a back up, and it will be in tommorow so we have sunday, monday, and tuesday to check for problems.

Not what I meant. I mean did she pick a stall # using her dyno as a guide?
