Gen II (95-96) optispark connector vs. Gen I (92-94) optispark connector?
I got a Gen II optispark that I installed onto my 93 lt1.
This unit (AC Delco, remanufacturer) came with a harness that plugs into it.
The other 4 connector portion (that is right under your passenger side fuel rail connector) does not exactly 'fit' my existing harness.
The 4 connector portion looks like it will fit into it fine, but this connector has 2 flats on it, whereas my OEM harness has 1 flat on it.
Im tempted just to saw off one of the flats so that it will fit into it.
Is that all I need to do?

I had a similiar (or same) problem when I ordered the short harness that plugs into the Opti on my 96; rather than send it back and try to sort out what was wrong, I took the original end (as in your picture) and wired it onto the new harness (removing the new end); I did one wire at a time, used solder and shrink tubing; it made a clean, trouble free installation
