PCM issue?
Hello all:
I have a 94 Fleetwood Brougham with the LT1 in it. Just recently, the trans started acting like it is in Limp Mode. It gives me manual 2, 3, Reverse, but it still lets the converter lock up. Checked all the fuses and all looked good.
I scanned the PCM (no light came on), and got a DTC 84 which is a 3-2 Shift Circuit Fault. The solenoid and harness are good, so I plugged a friend's PCM from his 95 Impala SS into my car and the trans shifted normally and didn't kick off a DTC 84.
I put my PCM back in and reflashed it, but it did not fix the problem, as my PCM still gives my a DTC 84.
Can anyone give me any feedback as to where to look in the data tables to see if it's a programming glitch, or is my PCM needing replacing?
