Headers for 91 using afr 1036 heads?
Any suggestions would be great....rather find something that isn't too pricey as well due to the fact the engine fund is getting low and I am close to wrapping the build up.
Thanks

OBX would be a great (bang-for-the-buck) choice -- if you can determine they'll cover the ports.
If you want to take the chance, Vette Tech seems to be making the Tri-Y's I used. The might take a slight dent on either side, but could provide the best mid-range (street) boost possible. They fit the AFRs great and only required a small ping to clear the steering linkage.
If you looking for a monster with lots of top end, there's another maker of stepped headers that's supposed to be the best application for top-end (ARH Headers). Highest priced of all the options I bet.
In the past Hooker would be.
But they don't custom make them to specs desired no longer since Holley bought them out.
You can even get them made in Titanium tubing & flanges if you have enough $$$$.
Kooks or Lemon Headers are popular in every Chevrolet, Ford, & Mopar Hemi race engine class- chassis.
But not for a C4 Corvette.
No one takes a C4 serious as High performance machinery............2,000 + flywheel HP or 1,600 + rear wheel horsepower.
The $1.4k starting price scares off near all C4 owners..........cheap in general $.
But Not all C4 owners out there.....

The one thing I can say about my VT headers is the plugs are easy-peasy. (No one else complained about this issue -- with VT headers -- that I recall.) Plugs are waaaaay easier to change than stock since the tubes jut so far out before turning downward. I can't guarantee for straight plugs, but their is enough rough that I'd bet you'd be fine. (I even think #3 and #4 would be easier to access with straight plugs....and they aren't as close to the front tubes as this picture implies.)
