Default Door Adjustment Help

Good Morning Everyone,

I searched but couldn't find anything.

I replaced the hinge pins and bushings in the driver's side door of my 92 and it fixed the sag but the door is still a bit out of alignment with the other body panels. The door sits out a bit. Can the striker be loosened and moved in a bit?

Thanks

Garrett

I did some work in body shops and I'm sure the striker is adjustable. Use a floor jack with a towel or rag on it under the door edge to hold it up while adjusting it and use shims at the hindges if you have too. It can get a little tricky and timely but is no biggie

Bring in the striker plate. I forget if your door has the torx stud, but the striker should always be adjustable.

If it's a star shaped stud, than yes. I remember it being a pretty big size. On some cars the stud will be attached to a adjustable plate that has perimeter screws that are used to adjust it. Just loosten it a little bit, then it'll slide around for your adjustment.
