alright fellas, got an 85 vette, just got done doing some work to and replaced some vacuum lines. now ac just stays on defrost and feet, i know that one of the vac lines goes to a check valve, now the check valve was broke and I just put the one hose that I could find and put it to the intake. I did some research and seems like I need the check valve for the blend doors to work properly. So I got a new check valve, only problem I can't find where the line coming from the ac control head leads to. And can't find a loose line. If anyone can help me trace where the damn thing went it would be awesome. I really need another one to look at. Thanks for reading. any help will be helpful!
This is a picture of the vacuum check valve. The vacuum line on the left comes from the plenum. The vacuum line going out the bottom goes to the cruise control and vacuum tank. The vacuum line on the right is actually a right-angle coupler that connects to the plastic vacuum line that goes into the cockpit for the A/C controls.
The vacuum line into the cockpit goes into the engine wiring harness and through the bulkhead feedthrough behind the passenger side head. Here's a pic I stole from Agent 86's site (he posted it for me when I was trying to replace this plastic vacuum line after it got melted in my engine fire). The vacuum line is behind the pink wire and you can see the right-angle connector on the right which goes to the vacuum check valve:
