Do you mean that you can't read the numbers? You have to take apart the glass sections and replace the one section that is "burnt". There is a person on this forum that sells that product. Be VERY careful when disassembling that portion of the unit. There is about 7 sections to the readout(s).

All I know is that the numbers even when the car is off are all showing up because the sun has burnt in the image. All I need to do is redo the linear polarized film on the front if i am correct. But, I want to know if I am correct and how to get it off and back on.

I'm not sure if that is your problem or not. Either way you have to take apart the dash. On the back are (I believe) 10mm screws that hold the dash together. If you don't mind going without your dash for a while; you can take it apart and see which section is bad and then order that part.

Where can I order the part? Because all 3 sections are bad and I already have the dash apart.

Can't tell if this is the same issue, but I thought someone cured this problem by placing some type of polarized film in front of the 3 large lens. If so, you'd only need to remove the plastic bezel -- in front of the speed-o assembly.
A thread on the topic was created a few months ago. But, I don't remember who ran it or what was in the title.

A few years back when I replaced mine I found it on E-Bay. Someone once said that www.batee.com had parts. My speedo is out so let me know if you find one. Right now I'm just using my GPS for a speedo!

Hopefully, search will get you there.
Yes, that is what is wrong with mine and you have to take out the whole cluster to repair it. I am just trying to find out how to glue the new polarized film back on basically, the right way.
1.Take out the glass panels of your dash. Peel off the old film with a razor/scraper. Be careful, that stuff is really on there and it felt possible to break the glass if too much force is used. 2.Once off, clean the glass with alcohol on a paper towel, until all of the adhesive is gone. 3.Hold the new film over the lens. Turn it so the glass goes dark. Now cut it to fit that lens. 4.Now, peel off the backing from the adhesive side and apply the film to the glass. Work slowly, trying to keep from getting any air bubbles in it. 5.There's also a protective film on the front side of the film. Peel that off and you're ready to install it back into the dash.
The new film is very clear and sharpens the images on the dash.
Good luck with your project.
