The "cool" button on my climate control will not do anything. The "warm" button and all other controls work OK. The setting is now 86 degrees and the cool button will not bring it down. Any suggestions?
If you are a brave soul, take it out, disassemble it and clean the p.c. board. A
Q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol is what i used. Mine looked like it had coffee spilled
into it. Be gentle and don't rub off the button contact material, just clean the goo
out of them. Good luck.
No, the switch contacts are on the pc board. The buttons short the switch contacts on the
board. Take it apart on a big table, the buttons will try to escape if you don't keep a eye on
them. Sorry for the delayed response, i had to do a similar repair to my monitor between
replies.
Thanks. I will tackle this job tomorrow. By the way, from looking at your avatar, you have a 1986 Bright Red coupe. I have the same. I have owned it new since Fall of 1985.
You'll see when you get it apart. Not a difficult job, just a bit tedious. That pic was shot the
day after i painted it. It wasn't reassembled yet. Red was the natural choice!
