14091459 GM LH 3-82-1141-1 DANA

14091460 GM RH 3-82-1141-2 DANA

The above is GM information. These are for all D36 except very early '84 MY. They've been discontinued for quite a long time but good used I would think would be available for the asking.

Dana actually shows information that mentions shaft and joint:

41533-1 RH & 41533-2 LH for most of the DANA "Bill of Materials" for the D36 '87+ MY. They show different information '84 - '86 MY. It is not unusual for conflicting and sometimes erroneous information in the DANA cataloging. I believe the u-joint in the DANA build reference for the ZF drive-shaft either still is or was for several years incorrect.

What is the build information from the bottom of your case?

Thanks for the info.

Which catalog did you find that info?

I didn't mention, I am also looking for the input yoke pn.

Build information has production date march 1996 and the unit is a 2.59 gear

The GM information is from parts catalog information.

Pinion flange for the D36

GM: 10067311 DANA/Spicer: 73293-X

That's an assembly that includes the sheet metal deflector also.

This DANA will work I believe except you would either need to leave off the deflector or buy it separately:

2-4-6641-1 Pinion yoke (fits many Dana axles)

42502 deflector

For the Dana/Spicer information I use a couple different reference guides. These links might make it easier to relate:

http://www.rsgear.com/catalogs/Diff/Dana_GM36.pdf

Here's a link to dimensions of the pinion yoke. Pay no attention to the applications in it regarding D44 etc. These people generally display accurate dimensions:

http://www.northerndrivetrain.com/pr...-4-6641-1.html

If you follow the links in the 2nd by application you'll see that it will carry you to another flange when using the D36 application. It can get misleading! You need to rely on the "vendor" you buy from for information. The difference in the 2 is the joint angle I believe. Critical - I don't believe for your application!!
