Default Engine interchange info help
I have a guy that needs a motor for an 87..I have an 86L(I believe) Hollander says 86 to 91(I know that's wrong)..Thoughts guys???

The big change was 86L where all convertibles and late coupes got the aluminum head engine which is (as I understand it) the same as the remainder of the L98 run.

L86 still has a flat tappet cam. 87 has a roller. They will interchange but are not identical.
