code 61 abs after c5 brake upgrade
The ABS Control module monitors the voltage at the output
of the Pump Motor relay.
1) 61 indicates there is no 12 volts at the output of the relay
pin #30 when the relay is energized. (Bad relay or fusible link).
2) Or there is 12 volts at the output of the relay pin #30 when
the relay is not closed. (Relay stuck closed).
(If this was the problem, the ABS pump would always be
running).
For symptom #1 remove the ABS Pump Motor relay and verify
there is 12 volts on pin# 87 of the Pump Motor relay socket.
The 12 volts comes from fusible link J at the battery jumper
block and is hot at all times. The battery jumper block is
behind and below the battery where a bunch of fusible links
are bolted to a stud. The fusible links are not numbered and are
all the same color.
Here's a picture of the ABS Pump Motor relay and the schematic of
the circuit.
