No reverse

No reverse
1992 auto, tranny has about 8000 miles on it and last night reverse quit..any ideas before I bring it back to the shop that put it in..and get hosed.....

So I just called the shop who did the work, best shop around, will take it apart and see whats wrong but he thinks the sun gear or whatever its called is stripped. I can't believe that with so few miles this could happen unless its a crap part to begin with. This tranny must be a piece of crap and now I have to wonder how long the whole thing will last...this car is a black hole with no end.....

Just dropped 6 grand on a paint job..didn't need this to happen..most unreliable thing I have ever owned...I've beaten turbo 400's to death and never trashed one...I mean reverse!! what do hit in reverse 2 mph?

Looks like they have to rebuild the damn thing.with only 8000 miles on it..is this tranny a total piece of crap.? How can the one gear you use the least blow out?
