top speed calculations
What are the correct formulas for calculating top speed(considering trans and rear ratio).
I have a 6spd with 4.10 gears and wanted to see where she should top out in 5th..

It has more to do with HP and drag than gearing, check out this snipit from David Rodabaugh, It will give you exactly the formula you're expecting. It helped open my eyes to what makes the most difference in relation to top speed.
