Hi All, apparently there are some experts out there that can help me with engine I.D, we have just picked up a C4 engine to go into a C3, can someone please give me from these I.D numbers a little info. I would like to know if poss. The last pic is a little fuzzy, it:
V1213ZFL
Engine HP
Manufacture date
and if these have dished or flat pistons & 4 bolt mains
enter anything (14010207) into google and youll usually get a bunch of answers
What I found
14010207...350...80-85...2 or 4
heres more for you:
Block 14010207: 80-85 4-bolt. truck application.
The Corvette Black Book states the following:
For 1980: block 14010207 = 350ci 190hp or 230hp late production
1981: block 14010207 = all
1982: block 14010207 = all
1984: block 14010207 = all
1985: block 14010207 = all
To determine whether it's an L82 or L48, etc., you need the 3 character suffix code.
more than likely yours is cast crank 2 bolt main
pulling the pan will tell all.
Thanks again for the info, anyone know where I can find the info on the ZFL engine, Ive looked all the GM 350 I.D sites and the ZFL engine is not on the list, could this engine be out of something else ?

I very much doubt you looked at all the GM sites! The ZFL Suffix was used on the '84 Corvette: 350CI, 205HP, Manual Trans.
