OK, well I'm losing a good amount of fluid from the L98 1989. Just thought it was low so topped it off and then found a bunch of the fluid on top of my Z06 stored under the C4 on the lift!
So I cleaned everything up and refilled it and now I've been checking it and I have a nice big drop on the underside of the reservoir. Filled again and drove it a bit and then had the leak again. It will leak just parked on the lift, had a good amount in the drip tray, maybe 1-1.5 oz, which makes me think it is the reservoir and maybe not a hose but can't be sure.
Looking for the bet way to track down an issue like this? Also curious is others have had these plastic reservoirs give out, after all it is a 23 year old part.
Yeah, I figure the best way to start is to pull the reservoir off and test it for leaks outside the car, should not be a big deal to do that. 2 hoses and pull out the reservoir and then test to see if it is leaking.
Just checking, you're not really "topping off" the reservoir are you? There is a fill mark on the post on the center of the cap which is quite a ways down the reservoir.
