Default Oil pan drain plug?

What size is it? Is it 14mm or 9/16? It seems to be tapered so both kinda fit?
The previous owner has rounded it a bit as well so it's even harder to tell. Oh yeah, I don't think it's supposed to be torqued to 300 ft-lbs either. Thanks.

Replace that thing. Don't ever put a rounded bolt back on a car :nono: .

I used a 9/16ths when i changed my oil friday. Though someone might have changed it out sometime in the past 8 years.

Even though it won't show in the dealers book you can get a GM magnetic plug. I know one from a 3.8 liter 95 Lumina APV worked perfectly in my 96 LT4. Cost under $3.00. FrankLT4CE

Be careful when listening to the '96 guys, since the drain plug changed sometime during that model year :) I believe the earlier cars were standard, but my '96 is metric.
