1986 power steering rack
i lost the U-shaped tube that was on the power steering rack. this is the piece that looked like a bent piece of aluminum. almost the same materical as the AC lines. I believe the tube was used for cooling down the power steering fluid. When you buy another rack it doesnt come with it. you have to transfer that piece to your new rack. My question is do i need that piece or can i just make a bypass hose? Or if someone knows where i can get one or get one made? Ive tried the Yards but they want to sell the whole rack to me.

That is the power steering fluid cooler. I believe on later years they put on something that looks like a very small radiator.
