ASR ABS Warning Lights are Active
The Service ASR, ASR off, ASR Active, ABS Active, and Service ABS warning lights become active upon ignition. After the Vette begins to roll, either in drive or in reverse, after a few seconds, the ASR Active and ABS Active warning lights turn off. The Service ASR, ASR off, and Service ABS warning lights stay on all the time. The ASR button on the dash has no impact on the warning lights. There is no event or other problem that I can relate to this problem. The Vette seems to drive just fine, as it always has.
As additional information, since this has occured, the brakes have been replaced, and the hubs have been replaced. In fact, and perhaps I am incorrect in this, I am disappointed that when this work was done the shop did not address these warning lights.
Any thoughts as to cause of the warning lights?
Thank you.
First thing you should do is pull your codes and see if it points to something specific. It could be anything from a wiring short providing false readings to a bad control module. I'm sort of leaning towards the control module since it's indicating both ABS and ASR are having a problem and I believe the same control module handles both.
But we don't have to guess.
Read the trouble codes for module 9 and post them here.
(How to read the codes and other things in case you need the link.)
