the threaded boss is almost straight across from the charging post and slightly left, it may have a small bolt in it. in your pic ,67, its covered up buy those blue butt connectors right next to the plug. see how good it is to have pics?

I was just looking at pics from a few years back and I never had anything in the threaded boss.

when you have an fsm for your year, thats the best place for info, mine has it with a wire to it, yours may not.

Appreciate all the help. I just re-checked my wires and its good now. Also doesnt have the ghetto butts anymore. Now for vacuum lines-do the typical vendors sell the pieces?

you can get those at any parts store, and the hard lines come in 5'rolls, they dont have to be vette specific, just be going to the right places.

wish I was in the states-I miss ole autozone and advance :/
around here its order a part and wait a week or so

The item in pictures 68 & 69 is the vacuum check valve. Your cruise control and the doors in the air conditioning ducts will not work without that.

The main output from the alternator to the battery is the large stud near the cylinder head. You need a large gauge wire from there to the battery.
