Default sensor location confusion need help

88 c4 - l98

i purchased a hypertech cool fan switch -

the stock one looks like its mounted on the drivers side = its a green wire with a plsic round cap with 2 little metal points that plug into the sensor in the drivers side head-=

yet the instructions say it goes in the passanger side head

but on my car on the passanger side head is a spade connection like found for the temp switch and on my drivers side is the connector for the fan switch

so im totally confused , cause this is stock wireing no one rigged it up

Passenger side is the Display - Driver's side is the Aux Fan Coolant Temp Switch. It's hardly worth it. As you run both fans on any warm day, you'll be on a battery and when both fans slow down, it'll heat up. Fixing the cooling system so that it works the way it was designed to is far better - or simply keep the a/c on (of course that has to work as designed too) and your Low Speed Coolant Temps will be 10 or more degrees less than with it off. This is discussed around here on a daily if not hourly basis.
