Default Motor swap starting issue

I recently put a 383 in my car and put a carb on her. Th battery seemed like it was dieing, so I replaced it and the starter just in case. Took the car for a cruise and everything seemed fine. 14 volts charging. When I got home I shut the car off and tried to start it and turned slowly twice or so. I am stumped. New starter, battery, and the alternator is charging. I seems the charge isn't Getting back to the battery. Any idea what the problem is?

(I still have all the tpi wiring in the car just tucked away)

Have you used a multimeter on the battery to see what the charge level is? With the engine running.....what is the level....it should be over 12.6 volts.....

Yes with the engine running at idle it's 12.9. When I rev it a little it goes to 14.2

Check your grounds, especially the ones to the back of the head and the engine block to chassis.
