Default Heated O2?

So I know there is a ton of threads on this subject already, but there is one thing that I dont see addressed. IRCC, stock heated O2 systems have the heater controlled by the PCM. With the conversion from a single wire, the heater will run every time there is ignition power. Has anyone who has done this conversion had issues with the O2 sensors burning out from the heater being on constantly?

I have long tubes on my 93 LT1 and want to convert from single wire to 3 wire. I am going to cobble together my own kit to save money. Unfortunately it doesnt seem like sensor suppliers spec out the threads and characteristics of the sensor, they just want to tell you whether it will work in your particular vehicle. Is there a list of vehicles with compatible 3 wire O2 sensors that I can pull from a Junkyard? Is there a list of brands/Part numbers that are compatible so I can shop around?

Can't speak for a 93 but on my 96, the heating element on the o2 sensors is not controlled by the PCM. They are always hot in the Run position of the Ign Sw.

What did you tap into for 12V? Fan relays? Seems to be what everyone taps into, but I would rather not mess with that circuit as I just got done cleaning up the PO's hack job on it for a ECT bypass.

The brown wire at the AC clutch relay is hot in the run position, the relay is on a bracket behind the right front wheel.

I used the AIR pump power line as it is a keyed powere supply of 12 volts and is only on when ignition is on.
