Default 92 digital dash

92 LT1.
The center LCD leters/numbers are slowly fading to the point they are barely visible.
The orange part is fine just the grey/black stuff is fading.
Switch on it's bright. Lights on it dims a bit, told this is normal.
Dimmer switch dims the orange part. All the analog dials and dash lights work fine. I've serched and can't find much about the later model LCD modual.
Was wondering is this common, is there a DIY fix, or is this a replacement deal.
I've fixed dashes before, cap's, stepper motors, that kind of thing.

TIA, Dave

They get dimmer with age, sorry to say. I have 3 different one for the same year and swapping them out I get- a dark one, getting lighter one, and one I care barley see, Dont waste time have it rebuilt and replace.

I have heard there is a fix, or at least check of the plug on the back. Can you confirm the ones you changed out if the little plug on the back was ever loose?
