clutch issues
my old clutch was slipping on hard shifts so i figured it was worn and time to be replaced. it always felt like it wasnt engaging properly but i attributed it to what i assumed were badly worn parts. when i get the old clutch out it looked recently new and had not been overheated, weird. now with the new clutch and master cylinder in as im trying to bleed it out i keep getting air in the fluid. after a gravity bleed it seems fine but after a pump bleed the fluid comes out frothy or foamy. also the clutch pedal feels about the same, like the slave isnt fully releasing the pressure plate.
so, my questions.
1. are there known problems with factory clutch lines or slave cylinders that could cause problems like foamy fluid or not releasing the pressure plate fully?
2. when the clutch is fully engaged(clutch pedal released) the clutch fork is very tight againt the throw out bearing, should there be some play there or is it supposed to be that tight?
im doing all of this without the gearbox bolted up so i can see whats going on in there. also im bleading the slave upside down (i actually have it installed in the bell housing upside down, i didnt really see a problem installing is that way.)
thanks alot in advance for your help.
