95 C4 turns off while driving issue
Alright so I have a 1995 Corvette lt1 approx. 140k miles.
lately what seems to have been happening is when i drive from a cold start about 12-16 miles city/highway my car whether cruising or accelerating shuts off on its own. it had happened in a parking garage while idling after already driving a bit too.
It first started happening a couple months ago. also before it has shuts down on me it has bucked as if i was about to turn off, but doesn't. I can normally get it restarted and get home after i sit about 10-30 minutes.

last Christmas i replaced my opti with the MSD equivalent, replaced my water pump with an electrically spliced Meizer water pump about 6-8k miles ago, and my spark plugs. all worked well. This fixed my opti occasionally acting up and car running too hot.
My car also had some start up issues but ran good. after looking at that mentioned thread, i have replaced my ICM, Fuel pressure regulator, and Ignition Coil. after these it fixed my start up issue was fixed (i believe was partially due to ICM and fuel regulator), and hoping that fixed the random shut downs, but it did not.
Also my car is not throwing any SES codes.
I am now believing that this issue could be the cause of the fuel pump? I am planning on replacing it but i would like to know what others think.

WOW....does this ever bring back memories....bad memories of the ECM intermittent hot problem my '95 had.
After replacing and hours of troubleshooting the ignition, sending the EMC off for repair three times....I bought a remanufactured one....got a stock flash....all problems gone.
Problem would start with a slight miss...tach needle would bounce a bit...and just get worse until engine dies. Open hood...wait 20-30 minutes...engine start right-up and drive fine...until ECM got hot again.
During the winter time...it would not fail at all. But once Spring arrived....!!!
Suggest getting a can of electronic freeze spray from Radio Shack and when this happens again; open hood, spray ECM and see if engine runs.

Damn.. just put in the new fuel pump yesterday and sure enough the same problems persist.

Your problem kinda sounds like mine, I'll definitely go down and get some of that spray and see if that does anything.. so once the problems start happening just spray down the ECM to cool it and see if it stops?
