AFR heads?
Is it better to use a straight lug or angle lug with these heads ? I have heard that with angle lugs certain headers won't fit is this true?

Is the "p" not working on your keyboard? The sparkplug orientation is what's being refered to when straight or angled is mentioned. Some heads have the plug in at an angle and others have the plug coming straight out. It depends on the application. Go with what is currently on your car. If they are straight, then get straight.

AFR makes 3 different types. Straight plug, angle plug, and L98 angle plug. You need the L98 angle plug.
The header problems you are referring to are from the regular angle plug heads not the L98 angle plug version.

Re: AFR heads? (LPDesRoche)
YOU NEED THE L98 PLUGS FOR SURE!
That was typed in caps for a reason. Too many people have been getting the wrong ones then having problems.
I would also recommend searching for a few of my archieved posts on my project. Many other issues need to be answered before ordering.
Do a search and if you need any clarification let me know.

Re: AFR heads? (GRX)
The L98 angle almost looks straight but it isn't, slight angle. The angle plug heads are more severe angles. I have L98 angles on my 383 and the hookers bolted up fine on the engine stand.

Re: AFR heads? (Fastguy)
Why the L98 angle? To clear L98 header manifolds?
