Default Gear change in Dana 36 - Looking for info/tips

I have the FSM, however are there any good write ups or tips for the gear change on the 36.

I am was trying to purchase a pinion depth tool set on over on the for sale area, but missed that.

I am installing a gear set, bearings, and new clutch packs. The tooling to change the bearings is not a problem, more curious on getting the pinion depth set properly without the proper tool. Stretching the case for the carrier bearing pre-load should not be a problem.

Cheers.
