Anyone use a cone air cleaner mounted direclty to the throttle body. Given the C4 is a bottom breather, does the car get sufficient air flow. Wouldn't think so, but have seen photo's of a couple of heavily modified cars that have done this?
you can drop the airpod filter over the top of the radiator and into the space where the stock filter goes, by using a 3" tube,
the main restriction in the inlet is the stock air box, it flows 500 cfm,
a 3" tube should flow greater than 650 cfm, considering a de-screened maf flows 658 cfm.
Maybe the cooling air comes from the bottom, but a cone filter isn't going to make much of a difference.
