My vette would start and run if I push the gas pedal lightly to make it bit high rpm briefly till I release the pedal and it's died on me. Can anyone tell me why and what I should do?
You need to be careful of the sequence of the things you are currently doing. Turn on the key first, THEN press on the gas pedal and start cranking. The reason is that the ECM reads the TPS when you turn on the ignition and saves that reading in RAM, calling it "idle". After you do the minimum idle adjustment you shouldn't need to do this any more.
