It appears to be slippage rather than the TC unlocking.
I can't say if the slippage is a transmission or TC problem.
This will be part of the troubleshooting checklist.

Finally got a diagnostic check on the tranny.
Bottom line is the pump is not making enough pressure. Main pressure should be approximately 150 lbs and its making 120-135 maximum. Changes to the TV cable have little effect. Reverse should be 100 psi and we're seeing 40.
So the tranny comes out again. New pump and TC on order.
Looking forward to getting back on the road.
On the bright side the tech that drove the road test came back with this big s**t eating grin on his face. I knew he had way too much fun when I later noticed he burned almost a 1/4 tank of fuel for a 20 mile road test
