alright whats up everyone?
my 84 L83 is getting way to hot. it has a brand new water pump and is pumping water/coolant. i did notice that the fan isnt turning. also, my AC doesnt blow at all? some help would be greatly appreciated

What do you consider "way too hot"? I believe your fan kicks-on at 228 or somewhere in that range. The AC could be alot of things, no R-12charge, bad compressor or clutch, HVAC controlls, blower-motor ect.......

i drove it today for less then 10 min, and it peaked at 269F
the compresser is brand new as well as the clutch on it

OK, that is a problem Did you check the temp sender or the fan itself? I'm gonna check my literature, but I believe if you go to the OBD connector inside the car and use a paper-clip and jump-out the A & B ports the fan should come on, that way at least you'll know the fan works.

well when we replaced the water pump yesterday,the fan was working fine. the car was peaking at 227ish
I'm sorry. On your car the fan switch is on the right head, behind the dipstick. Remove the wire, turn the key on and ground the wire and see if the fan goes on. If it does, then the thermo-switch is faulty. Check the relay under the master also, that may have gone bad too.
