Default C4 rear noise

I just bought my first corvette. The problem is it has been setting for about 4 to 6 months. The rear end is makeing a noise it is a loud thumping noise comeing from the left rear. When its under a load it is loud. When I shift into nutral it gets quieter but is still there. I have checked the wheel bearings and u-joints, all are good. I have changed the fluid and added new additive. All looks good but there must be something. When the car is in the air the only noise, when spinning the wheels, is a small clicking from the diffrential. I figure this is the poss clutches. The man I bought the car from said he was driving it untill he parked it for the winter.
Any help would be great.

Sounds like u-joints.
Unless you get a long pry bar under there your not going to tell if the tires are hanging down.
Too much load on the half shafts to tell a difference.

Ok, I jacked each side up to unload the half shaft u-joints. There was no movement in any of the u-joints. Rechecked left side wheel bearing right side as been replaced.
