I've always heard not to buy these from Ecklers because they don't fit well, but what about Mid America or Corvette Central? From GM they are $60 each side vs $60 per set aftermarket. Who has crossed this bridge and what did you find out?
I recently installed a pair of GM seals on my '90 ZR-1 and I was not at all impressed. The fit was really bad because some of the clips did not line up with the holes in the tops of the doors. I had to bend quite a few of the clips forward or backward to make them work. After a couple hours of trial and error on each side I made them work, but what a PITA.
I remember replacing the seals on my old '92 LT1 years ago with GM parts and they fit really well. I think the newer ones may be sourced from somewhere else, hence the poor fit. I'd probably just buy reproductions.
I just did mine with a set from mid america and the fit was perfect. I didn't use the rivets that came with the parts. I went to ace and found screws that are working just fine on my car.

Why would you use a fastener that can work loose inside the door?
To the OP...Wilcox is a vendor here and sells the inner & outer window sweeps. They were installed on mine along with the entire weatherstrip set. Great fit!
I got mine from Keen Parts and they worked fine although I riveted them in as the screws didn't work. Also, while you have the door panels off I highly highly highly recommend changing the window stop guides...if they haven't broken by now, they probably will soon!
I seen using screws at a car show in orlando, fl. you have to put rubber sealer on the thread. also since the door panels were off I sent the car to the tint shop and had the windows redone. I like having the tint film below the rubber strip. The last time it was done the tint was cut at the rubber and it started to peel from the window going up and down. I hope that solves that problem. As far as the screws I dont know for sure if its going to last but for now my sweeps installed tight and I almost didn't need rivets or screws. Is it right I dont know, My mistake.
