I can't see the picture very well but I would just bend the bracket so the cable is in line.

sorry. I got lost with TV cable. My brain heard "throttle".. seems as if your TC cable is simply loose.
anyway, mine has been removed a couple times, never had to adjust it.

***edit, my confusion

####add I assume you adjusted it per the FSM or Haynes? it does appear to be kinked, loose, stretched.

looking at your picture. (much clear that my) I notes. the house coming out of the valve cover. going into the middle of the lower intake.

and if you look closely you can see my is going to the front of the lower intake.

I think I will have to check the manual.

if your PCV hose is in diff location, it may be common to your engine, I don't think it matters.

That appears to be where the hose is running ;
not where it connects to the intake , there is nothing in that position ( front) for it to connect to

The TV cable should be tight and straight. There is a spring in the transmission that pulls on it. It is important that this be adjusted correctly because it controls the line pressure in the transmission. The clutches can slip and burn if it is loose. This is what mine looks like:

You adjust it (refer to the following picture) by pushing in on the D shaped button (right hand thumb) and pushing the plastic cable housing toward the rear of the car (away from the throttle body -- left hand thumb & finger). It will click several times when you do this. Let go of the D button and rotate the throttle as far open as it will go (WOT -- Wide Open Throttle). It will click several times as the cable is pulled out of the mount on the bracket.

No.

I just adjusted mine. It's easy, like was stated. Push the button and make sure the TB is fully closed. You may have to push on the adjuster to the rear(towards the firewall) for the TV cable itself. I had to on mine because it was a little stuck. (WD-40 fixed that.) Release the button and rotate the TB FULLY OPEN. I did mine slowly and counted the "clicks" the adjuster made. I then did the adjustment 2 more times and counted the "clicks" again to ensure it was the same. (Might be overkill but I was trying to learn as well so I wanted to make SURE.)

I think this seems like a good project for me to do, too. mine would be slightly loose when sitting at throttle body fully closed position.

... ok I figured it out. I feel dumb now. ... but I am not getting any kind "clicking sound" out of it when I push in the piece and than open the WOT blades to full open though.
