I really need my car tonight, but I have a little problem.... IT WON"T START :mad . I don't know what the hell happened, but it ran fine last night. Well, I tried to start it this morning to take it to the gas station and nothing. I then hooked up a fuel pressure gauge and it was showing 0 psi. There was no fuel in the fuel rail . I tried turning the key to the on position and could not hear the fuel pump turn on to prime the fuel rail. I checked the fuse and it was OK. Can it be a relay or something. HELP! :cry
Re: Need help Quick!!! No fuel pressure!!! (NUckINg FuTS)
Yes there is a Fuel pump relay between the Distributor and the wiper motor on the fire wall. this could be the cause. Also would the car Crank? if it would not crank it sound like a VATS problem.. if the cars cranks and you replace the relay and still no luck my guess is the pump is dead
Re: Need help Quick!!! No fuel pressure!!! (NUckINg FuTS)
Nope, it's not the relay. Anything else? Actually if I turn the key I do hear the pump but my fuel pressure gauge only shows 6 psi and drops to zero right away. THe fuel pumps fairly new only like 6 months old.

I don't mean to be a smartazz, but any chance the filter is clogged??
Also, it's a long shot, but it could be oil pressure switch isn't registering pressure, and therefore isn't turning the fuel pump on in the ECM. I have heard of these switches causing a no-start condition.
If the pump is getting power after priming the fuel rail, either there is an obstruction somewhere or the pump has gone on strike.
