1985 corvette, auto, all stock
i have been looking for the past 4 hours on how to drain the rear diff oil. anyone have a guide?!?

There is no plug. You have 3 options; drop the whole rear assembly and separate the batwing, suck out the oil through the filler hole, turn the car on it's side.

Lets try that one. Suction guns are available are most parts stores.
They do make a kit to tap and install a drain plug. Most of the Corvette parts vendors sell them. Corvette Central for one.

I think Willeys last idea of putting the car on it's side is the most exciting.

I use a Liquivac to remove the gear oil from the Dana. It also works great for automatic transmissions to remove the fluid so you don't get an oil bath when you drop the pan.
