Installing Smog Pump Elimination Pully
I have a friend that wants to install a smog pump elimination pulley setup from Mid America on his 1987 coupe. He is going to take out the whole air pump system and plug the exhaust manifolds and plug the cat converter as well.
His concern is that the computer will keep setting codes with our the air pump system. I did this on my 87 as well and I do not remember any codes set at all. Because he wants to be double sure before he tears out the system for good and then have code issues.
Any help on this issue would be appreciated.

there is no feedback to the ECM to say if it is working or not ; or even installed in the car so no codes
EGR is only emissions thing that will throw a code on these cars
Be sure to make the two connectors that go to the divertor valve safe after valve removal
because one wire of each pair is hot , key on
That's the answer !. Thank you very much for the reply.
Enjoy the rest of your Corvette summer.
