Default Idler/Tension Pulley
I have a 1990 and the idler arm/tension pulley "bounces"... even while idling.... is this normal ? thx in advance al

Sounds like the tensioner is shot. It should not move around. With the engine off, can you move the pulley/arm by hand?

Its junk.
The spring gets soft and allows the arm to flop around. This causes stress on all the other pulleys and something will fail from the jerking of the belt..

Tensioners are about $75 to $110 depending on where and who you buy from. There IS a core at most stores.
