Default Desk Top Dyno question.....

Does it give RWHP, or HP at the crank? :confused:

Depends on which version/program you are using. Desktop Dyno 2000 will give you crank hp because it is only an engine simulation. I think there are some other add on programs that you put the engine in a car and simulate 1/4 mile that would give you rwhp.

Orange,

The guys are right, the Dyno gives the Crank HP. There is another program Drag 2000 Sim where you can import the engine into your Corvette, they actually have a "preset for I think its a 1995 corvette, you can tweek the weight etc.etc. to give you some numbers to play with, as well as the tranns, rear end.. tires etc. etc.

I have used the program for the first time, after having it for about a year now. It came real close, within 5HP, on a couple peoples vettes.

What induction numbers are you using? I've found that 440 CFM yields the closest stock numbers.

I don't know what to use now that I've ported my entire intake, probably 480 or so.
