Well today I decided to recharge a/c ..while charging I noticed that the compressor stopped.. While checking my settings on the climate control I noticed the CEL was on... So plugged in my computer to read the codes and data stream... And I get nothing...( computer cannot communicate with ECM)Disconnected computer re booted tried again nothing...less Than a minute later car dies and refuses to restart.. KOEO my computer still cannot communicate with the ECM.... So decided to disconnect the car battery(just a shot in the dark) connected battery again... Car started right up.. And my computer starts communicating with the ECM( can now see data stream) and no set codes..
Cant really come up with a thought on how disconnecting the battery would fix anything let alone a no start... Unless it just reset the ECM.. But what could have happened to the ECM that it would need a reset..
Static electricity? Lightning recently? Did anything arc? Windows Vista? (just kidding)
Car ran fine yesterday..got up this morning decided to add some freon(slow leak)... Set Climate control on ac max... connected hose to low side started charging AC can't believe the charging of the ac had anything to do with it..
