Default Another AC question...

Well recharged my Ac system after discovering a leak... Emptied system drew vacuum... And refilled with 36oz 134a... Ac is cold but compressor is not cycling off.. It runs constantly temp outside was 78 and rainy... Temp at vents fluctuated between 45-48...(climate control set on max)

Question.. Shouldn't the Compressor cycle??

I do not have my AC gauges as a buddy borrowed them and now he's on vacation... (always the case)...

Any thoughts.. Worried system might be building to much pressure..

Data stream shows ECM calling ac ON..

I'm sorry.. I should be more thorough... Clutch engages and will not cycle off...

Was reading a few post ...some say it shouldn't cycle when ambient temp is 70+...

Just need some confirmation.. As I don't have my gauges and don't want catastrophic failure

The only tme mine cycled was when the fan went out and the head pressure was to high. Other than that the clutch is on all of the time.

No it shouldn't cycle when it's 70 or better.

What Year? 36 ozs is usually too much R134 for anything that wasn't designed for it.

High Pressure Limit is 400 psi. Get some gages of your own - Harbor Freight is cheap enough.

it's a 92 .. It was actually less than 36oz as the first can was partially used but held pressure.. (guestimate 30-32oz)I know it's not the correct way but got tired of the heat..left my buddy a message I needed my gauges.. Calls me back from Disney...... Seems every time I lend something out I need it ...

Thanks for the info guys..appreciate the help
