The weather LOOKS like it is going to hold. This should be rather interesting to see what happens on street tires. I'm looking for a good MPH run as I don't plan on being able to hookup at ALL on our crummy starting line on a street car night. The imports drag tons of water through the box onto the launch pad.
The car is still running rich, and has a small exhaust leak at one collector that I've honestly just been to lazy to fix as I'm trying to just enjoy it as is for a couple of weeks after all the work.
We'll see, do we hear high 12s for a starting point? :D
I remember the first pass I made on the first motor I pieced together, I had no idea what to expect. It was a 406 CID, with ported 882 heads, AS&M runners, blackjack anti-reversion headers, 3" single exhaust, custom cam with .530".
My first pass ever at the drag strip with my first motor to build...
drum roll....
.723 light (not bad for first time)
13.29 at 103 MPH
and that was on 245 BFGs.
I was 16 or 17 Y/O

oh yeah there was a point to this post.. scorp, don't go in expecting a time, just go in there and your goal is to drive back out with everything working. The time slip is just a bonus.
Well you have proven to be a good driver, Im betting on 12's after a few passes!! Something about 12's on street tires sure gets the heart pumping!! Good luck!!
IHey dude,
Im prob. excited as much as you are..if anything, you should be in the 12's.If not,its because it will be due to tires and launching the car and getting used to the new powerband and what its going to like.
Keep us posted.
