Default 1988 corvette fuel pressure

OK, Here we go again. When I turn the key the pressure at the fuel rail is only 20-22lbs. When the pump stops "priming" it immediately looses ALL pressure. SO, new fuel pump, new fuel regulator, new injectors and 2 days of knuckle busting, bleeding, etc. I turn the key , viola, same thing. I can't find any leaks at all. I got $100 to give and I'm a man of my word to the first bro who can figure this out. I'm begging now.

assuming you have no injs. leaking down, the FP reg. and pump are good, possibly the pump pulsator in the tank was disturbed and fuel is leaking out under pressure.?? the pulsator is just above the short rubber hose on the FP, just a guess.

Have you addressed the fuel filter?

An obstruction can raise havok on the fuel pressure as well.

I Pulled the pulsator and replaced it w/ a straight through of fuel line clamped nice & tight. it still only comes up to about 20lbs. w/ key on.
1 second crank of the engine and it shot up to 40lbs. but started dropping rapidly. Currently holding about 6-8 lbs. Are we on to something?

Recheck and re tighten all the lines on top of your new fuel pump and the lines on your fuel filter. once you start the car check for leaks.
